Remembering Mothers at Waseley Hills Crematorium

Waseley Hills Crematorium will be remembering mothers next month as local families are invited to craft a tribute for or in memory of their mother figure.

On Saturday 18 March, the day before Mother’s Day, local people are being invited to visit the crematorium between 10.30am and 2pm and create a personalised keepsake.

The event supported by Creative Arts from Bromsgrove will give people an opportunity to create a personal Mother’s Day keepsake. There is no fee to attend, all materials and light refreshments will be complimentary.

Waseley Hills Crematorium is part of Westerleigh Group, the UK’s largest owner and operator of crematoria and cemeteries, with 37 sites in England, Scotland, and Wales, all set within beautifully landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide pleasant, peaceful places for people to visit and reflect.

Joy Edgington, Site Manager at Waseley Hills Crematorium, said: “Mother’s Day can be a particularly poignant time for those who have lost their mum or mother-figure, or for mothers who have been bereaved of a child.

“We wanted to do something to engage with local people and help them create a keepsake that is truly personal.

“Following the success of our recent workshops for the bereaved, we thought it would be nice to encourage people of all ages, to craft a keepsake for their loved one.”

“We hope that visiting us and taking part in our Mother’s Day activity will bring comfort to anyone who needs it during this special time of the year.”
